Uncle Win a.k.a. “The Master Serenata” was born and raised in Southern Florida.  “The Master Serenata” was raised in a happy Christian home filled with laughter, music & songs, and he is the third oldest of ten children.  Like most in the industry and especially coming from a home such as his’ it was only natural that the “Master” and his siblings would sing in the church choir.  As the young men grew into talented teenagers, Minister Thompkins and his brothers began to travel and sing gospel music locally and around the country.

Uncle Win was labeled “The Master Serenata” because of his Soulful, but yet Original, Sexy Tenor Voice that is Golden to the ear. Just as sirens summons Sailors to the rocks “The Master Serenata” will Serenade you, Embrace you, Sooth & Relax you, Uplift & Motivate you, and with no doubt definitely MOVE you, no matter what genre of music he take the riff and run of the note in whether it be: Country, Rock, Inspirational, Gospel, Soul, R&B, Blues, or Reggae he is “The Master Serenata”.

“The Master Serenata” true-fully has earned his titles and success, starting at the tender age of 14, when he signed his first recording deal with the late great renown Country Singer Zeke Clements on Cross and Crown Records. Two years later he signed a deal with Holt Sullivan Nashville. After releasing his first album on Holt Sullivan, “The Master Serenata” success continued with the release of seven other Albums/CD that he wrote and produced that featured a few guest artists.

In 2004 “The Master Serenata” reached back to his roots and released a 26 song CD entitled ‘Foot Stompin’ (Vol. 1) often referred to as a ‘Masterpiece’ and earning him the title of the “Ambassador of Foot Stompin’ Music”.  When referring to the ‘Masterpiece’ Critics has quoted; “it has legs and will be around for a very long time, guaranteed to make you clap, stomp and dance in the spirit.”  ‘Foot Stompin’ (Vol. 1) led the way for the release of several other popular CDs and DVD's including ‘Live and up Close’, ‘Foot Stompin’ (Vol. 2), ‘Project Joshua’, and ‘With People in Mind’. 

In 2009 “The Master Serenata” released another chart breaking CD entitled ‘The Leaning Tree’ under the name of Minister Win Thompkins & The Stompers on Win’s Music and re-released on Humility Music. This CD surpassed all other CD/Albums that “The Master Serenata” has released, earning him another title as the “Leaning Tree Man”.

As a Record Label Executive, Minister of Music, Producer, Writer and Entertainer “The Master Serenata” is doing what he is called to do.  With three separate projects on the rise (1) Gospel, (1) R&B and (1) Variety we are sure “The Master Serenata” has one to Serenade YOU!!!!!!!!!!

“The Master Serenata” latest endeavors will take him into a broader world of music, with songs and music that takes you back to when music and songs had a message with a meaning.
